Hi guys, I am so sorry for not writing in forever. I could apologize for paragraphs upon paragraphs, but that is boring ;). So, here are some things that have been going on lately!
Bareback, of course :) I am going to ride Chessie with my friend, Anna, in a few days, and it will be a tackless (no bridle or saddle!) ride!
Good job with those hammocks! From the little I know about sewing those look pretty hard to make. I fixed a rip in my jeans once but that's about it. Thanks for the post! :)
Hi Micah! Thanks for the sweet comment, it made my day :) They are kinda hard to make... but practicing has made them much better! You are welcome for the post, btw, oh and how are you doing your fodder? I am trying to get back into it, and wanted some tips because yours looks way better than mine haha :)
Good! :) Well, I did more like 2 inches instead of 1/4 (I believe that's what you said). I think that maybe having it in that container was better for it because more sun could get to it but that's just a theory. I soaked the seeds over night and misted them heavily every day. After a couple days I just decided to drench them with water instead of misting.
IRDK though. XD I'm going to try wheat next if I can get some.
Awesome! Yeah, I will probably try 1 inch next time. I ended up drenching them, too, but had to dump tons of water, and I was growing it indoors, so misting became a better option :) Wheat should work really well too!
Well, I've got an idea! I'm thinking like a container with holes in it kinda sacked on top of a solid container. This would let you flood and drain many times and then dump it less often. and yeah...I stole that idea from YouTube. But it IS a good idea. :D
Well, I'm going to try wheat and probably barely a few more times before I set up something like that but I will...IF I can remember. XD When I get it set up/figured out I WILL do a post. :)
If someone ever says they know themselves, truly and wholly, I would not believe them. I learn new things about myself everyday. Some things I think I have known for a while, but I have never truly realized their depth. I have never realized that animals are a legitimate addiction, even though I have known it for years. My latest "these will be the last ones!" other than the fish, which tend to be okay since they don't add too much work. I never realized that whenever I ask for a new pet, I always, always, say, "After this, I will not ask for more. My collection will be complete." I realized that today when I asked Dad if I could get this little creature instead of a coldwater tank: "Please, Daddy! If I still want it by the time it is my birthday, can't I have it instead of my coldwater tank? I could empty all the water out, and it wouldn't take much care." What Dad said next went something like this: "It is not a...
Hi guys, how are you? I am quite well, and am enjoying my last two weeks of being 13; wow, it has almost been a whole year since I started this! Well, my birthday is June 10th, if you want to comment happy birthday, or if you just wanted to know. We have been quite busy on what I like to call our hobby homestead. Two female adult quail have been added to our small flock, named Ophelia and Athena, as well as two Salmon Faverelle pullet chicks. Names for them are TBD, and we just put seven, yes seven, duck eggs into the incubator, this night, as a result of the duck tragedy . Thea is at a dance right now, about to get home. I am quite tired; I had babysitting at high school youth group, as I am not quite in high school. I also did a bit of work around the house with the chicks and quail. I always feel like when I turn another year older, I am going to somehow feel so different, but it just feels like I am another day older, which I technically am. I have been wri...
I just got back from the beach last night, and it was fantastic. I made new friends, got a bit of a sunburnt face, and almost came home with a new rooster (which was living in the wild of the island), as I need a bantam one. We couldn't catch it, though, so... no rooster. I discovered new twenty one pilots songs, one of which is right here, and you need to listen to it: Taxi Cab I have started playing the ukulele, and apparently I don't completely stink at it, because everyone always tells me to keep playing. I have a grand total of eight songs written, but most of them don't have actual music to go with them yet. I got to get back into fishing on this trip, and caught several needle fish, a yellow fin snapper, and some really pretty orange sea-bass looking fish. We didn't eat any because only one was barely big enough, and it was just too beautiful to kill. And I may just be a softie when it comes to killing animals... idk. My new friends are awesome, and may or m...
